From film showcases to mixed media installations, this exhibition by second year Fine Art students from Plymouth University, revolves around the themes of emergence and sound and draws inspiration from the work of British artist, Keith Harrison who is currently producing a new commission for the Arts and Heritage Service. Come and explore the talents of Plymouth’s young up-and-coming artists as they express their voices as part of the Council House Art programme.

Opening Hours and Artists’ Talks
Throughout the exhibition the Council House will be open every Friday between 12 and 2pm. From Friday 10 October there will be a programme of Artists’ Talks starting at 12.30:

The Future of Plymouth
A collaborative exhibition between Plymouth College of Art BA (Hon) Fine Art, Critical & Curatorial Practices third year students and a local kinetic artist featuring new works exploring the transition of the past and future of Plymouth.

South West Graduate Photography Prize winner announced
Congratulations go to Nicholas White for winning this year’s South West Graduate Photography Prize. You can find out more about his work here.
Established by Fotonow, an independent photographic arts organisation based in the South West. Jon Blyth explains more ‘The aim in developing the South West Graduate Photography Prize, now in its forth year, is to create opportunities for emerging artists while enhancing the visibility of photographic practice across the region. Recent graduates from; Plymouth College of Art, Falmouth University, University of the West of England, Plymouth University, Arts University Bournemouth and University of Gloucestershire were invited to submit photographic work.
